Your MLB team is out, so who do you root for?

Playoff baseball is in full swing. As we move closer to crowning a champion, who do you root for if your team has been eliminated? Do you stick with a club in your favorite squad’s league? Support the underdog? Or just watch football or whatever else is on TV?

Here are some reasons to get behind or root against those left standing.

Pros: The Twinkies are an underdog, and finally ended North America’s longest playoff-win drought.

Cons: You’re rooting for the inevitable ALDS elimination. (This team won only 87 games.)

Pros: A World Series win would be the franchise’s first.

Cons: The team’s biggest fan is George W. Bush.

Pros: None, especially since Dusty Baker already got his long-deserved trophy.

Cons: They’re f*cking cheaters. They banged on more trash cans than Doug Funnie. Jose Altuve wore a buzzer.

Pros: The O’s are an AL East team not named the Yankees or Red Sox.

Cons: Baltimore is owned byJohn Angelos, who suspended broadcaster Kevin Brown for a benign comment about the team, and had fans thinking he was moving the team.

Pros: They did humanity a favor and ended the New York Yankee’s late ‘90s-early 2000s dynasty.

Cons: Even if you despise the Yankees, New York needed that title in 2001 just mere weeks after 9/11. And that 2001 Diamondbacks team featured Nazi sympathizer Curt Schilling.

Pros: If the Phillies win, the fans may burn down Philadelphia.

Cons: Having to hear the obnoxious Philly faithful celebrate another title while also boasting about the Eagles’ recent success.

Pros: They’re the West Coast version of the Yankees.

Cons: They’re the West Coast version of the Yankees.

Pros: You get to do the chop.

Cons: The chop is racist (take note, Chiefs fans).
