YUSAKU KINOSHITA VS ADAM FUGITT LOWDOWN

Yusaku Kinoshita (6-1) has been desperate to make his UFC debut after his beautiful knockout of Jose Henrique Souza on the Contender Series back in August last year. That extended his 100% finish rate which includes four knockouts and two submissions with the only blemish on the record being the disqualification when he used the cage to help stomp against Ryuichiro Sumimura (2021) into the floor.

Adam Fugitt (8-3) made his UFC debut in July last year and unfortunately for him, it did not go to plan. He was on a four-fight win streak having submitted Johnavan Vistante (2019) and Reno Remigo (2019) before knocking out Devon Brock (2019) and Solomon Renfro (2022). Michael Morales welcomed him to the octagon and gave him a taste of his medicine with a TKO.

YUSAKU KINOSHITA VS ADAM FUGITT PREDICTION

There is a ton of hype behind Kinoshita right now but he has not passed the UFC litmus test yet. Fugitt came into the UFC hot and had a decent first round against Morales, but it did not take long to get humbled.

Like Kinoshita, Fugitt is a southpaw and he can cause problems with his awkward style. He will look to control the distance with kicks and his jab, but we feel it will not be long before Kinoshita gets a read on the distance and begins to find a home for his hands.

The Japanese prospect also has wrestling in the locker but ultimately, we feel his hand speed and power will be too much for Fugitt and he will eventually find the chin.

Prediction: Kinoshita via KO/TKO -
