12: When is it, how to watch, squads, tickets, betting odds for 2022/23 Big Bash season

The Big Bash returns for its 12th instalment this summer. Perth Scorchers will be looking to defend their title. Faf du Plessis, Trent Boult and Andre Russell are among the overseas players who will join the competition. Rashid Khan and Alex Hales are out for another campaign.

The Big Bash League kicks off on Tuesday, December 13th. The finals series for BBL|12 will begin on January 27th and end on February 4th with the final on Saturday, February 5th, with matches being played on majority of days between the start of the season and the finals.

Channel 7 will hold the free-to-air rights for this year's Big Bash season. Select games will be broadcast on Foxtel and Kayo. All four finals games are broadcast live on Channel 7.

Sydney Sixers are the favourites for this year's Big Bash season. Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder are not far behind. Perth Scorchers are one of the outsiders to win the competition.
