2022 Mariners affiliate wrap-up: Arkansas Travelers (AA)

The regular season for the Mariners affiliates has come to an end. Modesto Nuts and Everett AquaSox have already been covered. Next up is Double-A Arkansas Travelers.

Arkansas Travelers finished the season with a record of 73-65. They were second in the Texas League North. Arkansas had the best run differential in Texas and had an expected record 79-59. The team's pitching staff was dominant, but the team was out of position on the offensive front.

Arkansas Travelers finished the season with a record of 50-47. Cade Marlowe was traded to Tacoma for the last week of the year. The Travs avoided the mass exodus around the trade deadline.

2022 Mariners affiliate wrap-up: Arkansas Travelers (AA). Jerry Dipoto signed a lot of pitchers to improve the team. Bryce Miller was named the AquaSox pitching MVP. Prelander Berroa and Isaiah Campell impressed in Everett and Arkansas. They will be available in 2023.

Cade Marlowe was named the team MVP. He had a 20/20 season. Marlowe got hot in September and got called up to Tacoma. He is Rule-5 eligible this offseason and seems like a lock to get selected if left unprotected.

Jake Scheiner finished the season on a high note. Joe Rizzo is another Rule-5 eligible player. He played 10 games at first this season and has a more extensive history at both first and second. If he gets a spot on the 40-man for him this winter, he should be offered a regular spot in an organization that will give him a chance to play.

2022 Mariners affiliate wrap-up: Arkansas Travelers (AA). Team MVP, pitching staff: Taylor Dollard. Dollards was the best player in the entire organization. He had a 2.25 ERA, a 3.61 FIP, .248 BABIP, 0.95 WHIP and a 056 HR rate.

Emerson Hancock was a top-ten pick in 2022. He threw 98.1 innings in his first full season. His ERA was 3.75, but his BABIP and K rate were better than expected. Hancock is expected to make his way to Seattle in 2023.

2022 Mariners affiliate wrap-up: Arkansas Travelers (AA). Juan Then is sent to Arizona Fall League. He was one of the organization's highest-rated prospects in 2017, but he has fallen off the radar recently. Then has played only ten innings with the Travs in 2022.
