49ers playoff picture: Ranking potential Wild Card opponents

The San Francisco 49ers are in the playoffs. They have the best odds to finish as the NFC's No. 2 seed. The Vikings are the only team with a better chance to get to the Wild Card round. Philadelphia has the other 0.5 percent chance of getting to Wild card round if it loses the top slot.

The most likely first-round opponents for San Francisco are New York Giants, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders. Everyone else in the NFC is either eliminated from the playoffs altogether or in a win-the-division-or-bust scenario.
