Asia Cup 2022: 'Quality' Afghanistan ready for Asia Cup heavyweights India & Pakistan

Afghanistan became the first team to qualify for the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup after beating Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan's captain Mohammad Nabi believes his team is ready for big guns India and Pakistan.

Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by nine wickets to advance to the next round of the T20 tournament. Najibullah Zadran hit six sixes in his unbeaten 43 and Ibrahim Zhadran 42. Spinners Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan took three wicket each. Afghanistan are expected to play India and Pakistan in the Super Four.

Afghanistan qualified for all the major international tournaments since 2010 World T20 in England. The team has changed bases from Sharjah and Dubai to cities around India and Abu Dhabi. Nabi believes the conditions in Sharja are better than in Dubai.
