Bargain buy Sceptical sets up Royal Ascot raid with awesome Naas display

Sceptical won the Listed Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital Woodlands Stakes at Naas. Godolphin castoff Sceptic was bought for £2,800 last August. Denis Hogan's bargain buy will go to Royal Ascot next week. Jim Bolger's Southern Horse came second and Buffer Zone third.  Sheridan rode SCEPTIC to victory. He also rode Willie Mullins' Royal Illusion. The horse is rated 114. It was ridden by Joey Sheridan. SECTIC is trained by Denisogan. His trainer describes him as the best horse he's ever had.

Shane Foley and Jessica Harrington have won four races at Naas. Punita Arora won the Listed Committed Stakes. More Beautiful won at Royal Ascot. Leanne Breen won with Parkers Hill. Masteroffoxhounds won in the concluding race. It was the first winner since Irish racing's return from shutdown. The winner was introduced as the 7-2 favourite for the Queen Mary Stake at Ascott. Seamie Heffernan was impressed by the performance of the winner.
