Big, fast CB Eric Rogers picks Rutgers over Arkansas, returns home to N.J.

Eric Rogers is a 6-2, 180-pound ex-Northern Illinois defensive back. He chose Rutgers over Arkansas. Rogers played 10 games as a sophomore in 2022, starting six of them. His high school was Burlington Township High School. The Scarlet Knights have nine players leaving the program since the portal opened last Monday. They saw eight on the first day. Rutgers’ 2023 class entered Monday ranked No. 51 in the country by 247Sports. They have a lot of experience at the cornerback position. Max Melton started all 12 games last season, while Robert Longerbeam made six starts.
