Big Ten Network’s Gerry DiNardo visits Rutgers training camp, talks QB situation, bowl chances, more

Gerry DiNardo is an analyst for the Big Ten Network. He watched the Rutgers football team practice on Monday. Di Nardo was an All-American offensive lineman at Notre Dame and later a head coach at Colorado and Eastern Michigan. His biggest takeaway from watching the practice was the way the Scarlet Knights coach the offensive line. He likes the fact that the players get more reps through the depth than in other places. The team needs to improve its offensive play to have success. It's not a good sign that no running back jumped out at Di nardo. Joshua Perry called the coaches "maniacs" in his recap of the visit to Piscataway.

The Scarlet Knights have a difficult schedule. DiNardo is unsure if they will make it to a bowl game. He is optimistic about their chances. The team is going to play Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Maryland.
