Breel Embolo: The stage is set for Switzerland star to embrace the limelight at last
Switzerland are in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020. Embolo is the only player who has impressed fans. He made his Basel debut in March 2014 and was the youngest Swiss player at Euro 2016. A big move to the Bundesliga with Schalke followed, but injuries kept him out of action for 21 months. Now he plays for Borussia Monchengladbach. His off-field activities have been problematic. He was accused by police of fleeing over rooftops after a raid on an illegal party in January this year. However, his performances at the tournament have impressed.
