Now that you’ve registered for an account and deposited funds into it, it is time to place a bet on one of the many markets open to bettors in Kentucky. Let’s review the betting lines for several upcoming contests with odds from several of the top sports betting sites in the U.S.:

Cavaliers vs. Nets

The Cavs are an up-and-coming team with a world of potential. After last season’s fire sale, the Nets are a shell of what they once were, but it is hard to know just what they are. On paper, they could be one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. Offensively, though...

Mavericks vs. Spurs

Fans will be interested in this game because of two things: (1) whether Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic have developed chemistry yet, and (2) Victor Wembanyama.

World Series, Game 1

The Rangers lost control of the AL West division on the last day of the regular season but took care of business when it mattered most in the ALCS with four road wins. Arizona overcame an early 0-2 deficit to the Phillies to earn their spot in the World Series.

The Diamondbacks won the World Series in their only other time in the Fall Classic, taking down the three-time defending champion New York Yankees. Texas will be trying to win the franchise’s first World Series.

Tennessee vs. Kentucky

The Wildcats would love to end their two-game losing streak coming out of a bye week. But they’ll face a Tennessee team just as determined to win after losing to Alabama last weekend.

The Vols played a solid first half against the Tide but had no answer for them in the second half.

As for the Wildcats, after getting thumped by Georgia, they had hoped to rebound against Missouri. While Kentucky led 21-20 at the end of three, the offense stalled in the fourth, and the defense gave up 18 unanswered points.

Bets to consider

Cavaliers ATS: Brooklyn was better than expected after their in-season fire sale last year. But, as for this season, fans should temper expectations. Cleveland, on the other hand, while not an NBA Finals contender, is one of the better teams in the East.

It’s the first game of the season, so it will probably not be pretty. But the Cavs should take this one with relative ease.

Mavericks ATS: San Antonio will be better this season with Victor Wembanyama in the lineup, but the Spurs are still a work in progress. The Mavericks are the better team on paper, but whether they can beat San Antonio or crush them will depend on the chemistry between Luke Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Diamondbacks moneyline: The D-backs are coming off two clutch wins on the road, while the Rangers lost three in a row at home in the ALCS.

Tennessee ATS: The Vols had no answer for Alabama’s second-half adjustments, but that will not be an issue this weekend against the Wildcats. Kentucky has a solid run game, but the Tennessee defense should have some success against it.

The Wildcats passing game is not good enough to make up the difference. The Vols balanced offensive attack will control the game from beginning to end.
