Canucks Game Day: Oliver Ekman-Larsson set to be a scratch vs. Tampa

Oliver Ekman-Larsson will be a scratch against Tampa.

Tampa Bay Lightning are third in the Atlantic Division with 25 wins in 39 games. The Boston Bruins have lost five games all year. Toronto Maple Leafs have won just as many games as the Lightning. Tampa Bay beat Vancouver Canucks 4-2 a year ago. Vancouver lost 9-0 to Tampa in pre-pandemic days.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson is going to be a healthy scratch for the game against Tampa. He was skating on the fourth pairing with Kyle Burroughs. Riley Stillman and Ethan Bear appeared to play on third pairing.

Collin Delia will start for the Canucks on Thursday. He was pulled on Sunday against Winnipeg Jets. Spencer Martin started Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh. Boudreau will split the starts on the weekend between Delie and Martin.

The Canucks have won just once in nine meetings against the Lightning since 2018. The Canucks were awful defensively last Sunday in Winnipeg and even worse in Pittsburgh. They've won two of their seven games since Christmas.
