Cazoo Derby: Varian advises punters to hang fire with Eydon

Eydon finished fourth on his debut in the Qipco 2000 Guineas. Roger Varian took the Olden Times colt to the track on Monday as part of the Cazoo Derby Gallops Morning. Vary advises punters to hang fire with Eyd on Cazaoo derby. The horse is in both races on the same weekend.  Prince Faisal will decide if EYDon will take part in either Czaoo or Prix du Jockey Club.

Eydon is considering his options for the Cazoo Derby and the Epsom Derby. Varian is pleased with the way Eyd on the track behaved this morning. He is an impressive Feilden Stakes winner and fourth in one of the strongest 2000 Guineas.  Varian advises punters to hang fire with EYDon. The horse is a big strong horse that moves very well. Eyden is in good form at Newmarket. Cazaoo derby and Epsoms Derby are prestige races.

Eydon won the Cazoo Derby at Newmarket. Roger Varian believes the horse will be better on a sounder surface. Vary believes Eyd on Kingston Hill is similar to him. He believes Kingston has a touch of speed and class. EYDon finished fourth in the 2000 Guineas. He is the most chilled out horse Varend has come across. David has ridden him in both the Feilden Stakes and 2000 Guinea Stake.

Beckett and Hornby bullish on Derby chances. Ralph Beckett's Westover worked with a companion under jockey Rob Horn by. West over made a triumphant return to action when holding Cash by a short head in last month's Classic Trial at Sandown. Rob is hoping to ride West Over in The Derby. He is creeping in with 14-1 chance. The weather is good. There is a lovely covering of grass. It would help WestOver. Rob wants to get him motivated early enough and get the horse into top gear. Sir Michael Stoute’s horse is also a big chance to win. They are both trained by O'Brien.

Westover galloped well at Epsom under Rob Hornby. Beckett believes his colt can run a big race on Saturday. He thinks Westover can be in the first four of the Cazoo Derby. Varian advises punters to hang fire with Eydon. He believes EYDon can win the race. The trainer didn't want to run West over a mile and a half as he didn’t see any benefit of it.
