Chargers vs. Raiders NFL Player Props, Odds

The Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders face off Thursday in an AFC West clash between backup QBs, and we have you covered with our best Chargers vs. Raiders NFL player props for Thursday Night Football based on the best TNF odds.

Backup QBs will face off on Thursday Night Football for the second straight week as the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders try to keep their dwindling playoff hopes alive during a Week 15 prime-time clash between AFC West rivals.

The Chargers turn to Easton Stick, a longtime backup who steps in for the injured Justin Herbert (finger) after he was ruled out for the season earlier this week. Meanwhile, Raiders rookie QB Aidan O'Connell makes his seventh start of the season and the first since getting shut out at home in Week 14.

Along with our Chargers vs. Raiders prediction and Aidan O'Connell NFL player props, here are our best Chargers vs. Raiders NFL player props for Thursday Night Football (NFL odds via our best NFL betting sites; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Chargers vs. Raiders NFL player props: Thursday Night Football

Michael Mayer longest reception Over 11.5 yards (-110 via BetMGM

Mayer has been slow to make an impact since the Raiders drafted him 35th overall in April, which is to be expected from a rookie tight end. He's consistently been good for at least one chunk play though, and Mayer is in an ideal spot to deliver another in Week 15.

While the Notre Dame product has finished below Thursday's yardage prop total (19.5) in nine of 13 games, he's recorded at least one catch for 12-plus yards in six of his last nine contests. That includes each of the last three weeks with O'Connell under center.

He's due for another against this Chargers defense, which ranks fifth-worst in receptions (74) and receiving yards (784) surrendered to opposing tight ends. Los Angeles let second-year tight end Lucas Krull - who has spent virtually all season on the Denver Broncos' practice squad - get loose for 35 yards on his first pro catch in Week 14.

The Chargers have allowed at least one catch of 12 yards to an opposing tight end in eight of their nine games since these teams played in Week 4. Expect that to continue on Thursday.

Khalil Mack Over 0.75 sacks (-145 via DraftKings

This is as much of a play in favor of Mack as it is against the Raiders' offensive line, which has struggled all season and was dominated in the first meeting between these teams in early October.

Las Vegas gave up a season-high seven sacks during that contest, including six to Mack, who was virtually unstoppable against his former team. That continues a career-long trend for the All-Pro edge rusher, who has posted a combined 10 sacks across five meetings with the Raiders.

Mack finished without a sack in Week 14, but he still recorded five pressures for the fourth straight week, with the other three all resulting in multiple sacks. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings were busy wrecking Las Vegas, with O'Connell being bought down four times in a shutout effort.

The Raiders' beleaguered front was already dealing with injuries before losing center Andre James (ankle), who's a tough bet to play on a short week. It all adds up to a juicy matchup for Mack, who is trading as high as -180 at bet365 to record a sack on Thursday.
