Chicago Bears and N.Y. Jets fantasy, gambling forecast
Justin Fields is injured and out of the fantasy football game. He had been a big hit for the Bears, scoring at least one touchdown in five straight games. Without him, the offense needs to be more conventional and other players will have to pick up the slack.
David Montgomery had 67 yards on 17 carries last week. He's been playing with Justin Fields and Herbert. Montgomery has 705 offensive yards this year.
Michael Carter is averaging 3.8 yards a carry this season. He will get the most carries for the Jets offense. Carter has only three touchdowns this year, but he is on pace for more receptions than last year.
Jets rookie has 44 receptions for 533 yards and two touchdowns. Wilson's 4.38-second speed in the 40 makes him a deep threat against Jaylon Johnson or Kindle Vildor.
Tyler Conklin hurt the Bears in one game at Minneapolis in 2020. He ha the second-most receptions at 35 for 331 yards with three touchdowns.
Siemian hasn't worked with the starting receivers much at all in training camp. If he starts, Darnell Mooney might catch more passes.
Cole Kmet is a good target for Siemian. K Met is at 11.9 yards a catch, which would be a career best.
7. Jets WR Braxton Berrios is a potential target for White. Berrieos had seven receptions in the four games White started last year.
Mike White had a 405-yard game with three TDs last year against the Benglas. He was bad in the other games with 202, 95 and 251 yards to go with six interceptions.
Justin Fields is not likely to start for the Bears. The Jets front is tough to run against and the Jets DBs are tough.
Chase Claypool has been a non-factor for the Bears offense for three weeks.
The Jets defense is a no-brainer in IDP leagues with team defense. They have held five of their last six opponents to 17 points or less. Last week they lost allowing 10 points and 297 yards. Sauce Gardner or Jordan Whitehead would be good IDPs.
The Jets are favored to beat the Bears by 5 1/2.
