Chiefs prop bets for NFL Week 17 at DraftKings Sportsbook

The Cincinnati Bengals were unfortunately destroyed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16.

Backup quarterback Jake Browning took a step back after three strong weeks. The Bengals' three-game win streak was snapped, and they sit at 8-7 as they head to Arrowhead Stadium for a Week 17 battle with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs are 9-6 entering this matchup which isn’t quite as good as many expected them to be. They have lost three of their four, losing outright as an 11-point favorite against the Las Vegas Raiders. Patrick Mahomes hasn’t quite been as elite as expected either.

Let’s dive into three Bengals-centric props to consider.

Jake Browning under 228.5 passing yards (-115)

Jake Browning has gone north of this total in four of his five starts; however, the Chiefs defense, especially their secondary and defensive line, will be among the more potent Cincinnati has faced in the last few months.

Minnesota, Jacksonville, and Indianapolis, all teams Browning has faced over the past month, all sit outside the top ten in opponents' completion percentage. While Pittsburgh is in the top 10, it gives up ample big-yard plays. Kansas City limits big plays and also can get to the quarterback.

Expect that pressure, especially with Ja’Marr Chase potentially still not 100%, to get the backup quarterback.

Travis Kelce over 62.5 receiving yards (-125)

Travis Kelce hasn’t been Travis Kelce over the last few weeks. His yards-per-catch average was 8.8 last week and 5.6 the week prior, down from three straight weeks of 10 or more. He has topped this total in three of his last five games.

The Bengals defense has allowed 63 receiving yards or more to a tight end in three of their last five games as well. They haven’t done well at defending the position, and taking on arguably the best one in the league could result in a painful day for Bengals faithful. That said, back Kelce to be a focal point of the Chiefs attack on Sunday.

Joe Mixon over 43.5 rushing yards (-120)

The Bengals offense, especially without Joe Burrow, goes as Joe Mixon does. He went for 68 yards against the Jags, 79 against the Colts, and then 47 against the Vikings (on just 10 carries). All three resulted in wins for Cincinnati. The Bengals should look to him early and often. Mixon has topped this total in six of his last nine games.

The Chiefs are allowing 113.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks 18th in the NFL. The Bengals' desire to keep the ball on the ground, which would be enhanced if Browning struggles early, should result in Mixon getting touches. Back his over rushing yards on Sunday.
