Lost very little when third in the Ultima Handicap Chase behind Corach Rambler and Fastorslow at the Cheltenham Festival in March – form which could hardly have worked out better since. Entitled to have needed a run when pulled-up on return at Ascot in November and gives the appeal of one who is lurking on an excellent mark. 

Useful chaser who has taken his form up a notch since stepping into staying company, winning competitive contests at Thurles and Sandown last term. Got within a neck of completing the hat-trick on his next run in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival, when giving the firm impression that this trip very much his forte. Still only six, there’s every chance that there’s more to come from him yet and he will arrive here fresh after a break. 

Very smart chaser who has a real ability in this type of race, winning competitive handicaps at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day and the Grand National Festival at Aintree last season. Showed he could handle this type of trip when winning on Merseyside and will strip much fitter for his reappearance in a warm renewal of the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby in November. Represents a yard who won this with a similar type last term and he ought to go very close for the Skelton team.
