Daryl Jacob column: Caribean Boy chances ahead of Welsh Grand National Trial

Daryl Jacob served a couple of days' suspension this week. Zambella won the Listed mares' chase in Carlisle last Sunday. Knockanore won a novice hurdle on the same card for Ryan Potter. Bailly has been switched to fences this season and has really stepped up. Carnfunnock is a nice horse. Daryl Jacob was impressed with him at Ayr on Tuesday. Caribean Boy is going to race in the Coral Welsh Grand National Trial at Chepstow this Saturday. Harry Whittington has a few horses to ride on the day. Galudon is a six-year-old hurdler. Franigane is back from a long layoff in a handicap chase. Alan King’s Future Investment has his third start over hurdles. Young Bull is having his first start of the season in three-mile novices” handicaps“. He Knows Better runs in bumper and he had a nice run when third on debut at the Che pstows. He was green first time out but I‘m hopeful he‚d be all the wiser and can go very close in this.
