David Ord talks to Marcus Tregoning about Mubtaker and Unfuwain in the Arc

Hamdan Al Maktoum has never won the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Baaeed is the latest Shadwell superstar. Unfuwain, a son of the great mare, was trained by Dick Hern. He was the first foal of Height Of Fashion and trained for The Queen. The colt won Warren Stakes by 15 lengths and Chester Vase at the spring of his three-year-old career, then the Princess Of Wales”s Stake by15 lengths at Newmarket July Meeting. In the Arc he finished fourth behind Tony Bin. He ran very well on ground he didn't like.

Mohaather won the Qatar Sussex Stakes at Goodwood. Trainer Tregoning has trained a host of big-race winners for Shadwell. Todoning's patron died in March.   He wanted to map the season out after Royal Ascot. He wants to go to the Summer Mile and then the Sussex. The course suits his horses. They train on downs and race on the downs. It's a good combination. His horses have acted well there. All of his horse have behaved well. Their foals are now on ground. A lot of them have his quarters. Brough Scott said he hadn't seen a horse quicken like that since Dancing Brave.
