Football punter bags £18k from 'unbelievable' £13 bet on 25-leg football acca
A football punter has scooped £18,000 after an incredible 25-leg accumulator came in.
The William Hill customer lumped just £13 on an acca priced at a huge 1391/1 across a variety of games in England, Italy, Turkey, Scandinavia, the United States and the Netherlands, among others, last weekend. But every single match delivered the required result, meaning the punter banked a cool £18,090.08.
Among the results to come in were Leicester City’s win at Blackburn, AC Milan’s triumph over Lazio and Atletico Madrid’s victory against Cadiz. The punter also got what they needed from games involving lesser-known teams like Belgium’s Union St Gilloise, Bodo/Glimt of Norway, Poland’s Rakow Czestochowa and French side Laval.
William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “We see plenty of big winning bets but few consist of 25 selections, so you really have to take your hat off to this punter
“Whether it was luck or judgement, to correctly predict the result of 25 football matches across several different leagues is an astonishing achievement, and the £18,090 they took home is richly deserved.”
