Four 2022 Grand National ante-post picks as weights are announced
The official weights for the 2022 Randox Grand National have been announced. The race takes place on Saturday April 9 at Aintree. There will be a final field of 40 horses.
Rachael Blackmore won the Grand National last year. Henry De Bromhead's Minella Times will carry 11st 4lb off a mark of 161. Any Second Now has been allotted 11 st 2lb on an official rating of 159. Becher Chase winner Snow Leopardess is 57th on the weights list with 10st 3lb. Venetia Williams, with four, leads the way for Britain. Phillip Hobbs, David Pipe and Colin Tizzard have three each.

Snow Leopardess won the Becher Chase over the National fences in December. Charlie Longsdon's charge impressed when winning at Exeter at the weekend. Magic Of Light went a close second behind Tiger Roll in 2019.

Paul Nolan's Discorama finished seventh in the Grand National last year. Connections is now nine and ran a second at Fairyhouse this month. He will carry 10st 5lb, which is 1lb lower than last time.
