Free horse racing tips for Tuesday: Dave Nevison's best bets

Betting expert Dave Nevison tipped two winners from four selections on Saturday and return to mark your card for Tuesday's action.

This three-year-old might be in the right race here having been highly tried after her maiden win on stable debut in May.

She was immediately upped Listed class after that victory but found that company too hot before being dropped down to a 0-85 handicap last time out where she ran a good race, despite finishing sixth.

She drops down to 0-75 company here against largely exposed sprinters, which looks looks a smart move, as does the drop to 5f as she has plenty of speed, and her running style is to race prominently in the leading group.

This race looks like it could be a good confidence-booster for this filly who will be very well suited by the sharp Musselburgh track.

Tarbaan contests a 0-78 handicap here, and that looks a beneficial class drop as he won 0-85 contest not too long ago. That win came over course and distance and his trainer, Amy Murphy, who has her string of handicappers in top form, has managed to get her charge rated back down 2lb below his last winning mark in just five outings.

Most of Tarbaan's efforts since his latest victory have been respectable, so it does look as though he is well handicapped for this, despite top weight.

Tom Marquand has been booked and there is no jockey in better form after his fantastic treble at Newbury on Saturday.

Returns to the track he won at in June and is reunited with Rossa Ryan, who was on board for that win, so a good run should be expected here.

The selection certainly hasn't run too badly since that success as he has been sent off the well-backed favourite on his past two starts and finished runner-up on both occasion, including when a good second at Epsom over seven furlongs last time out.

He steps back up to a mile on Tuesday, which may be a concern as he is by Kodiac, but his dam won over this trip and his half-sister won over further, so I am not worried, and I actually believe it could well be a positive.

His backers have burnt their fingers on his past two outings, but hopefully we won’t be joining them this time!
