Giants’ slumping Saquon Barkley finally has a chance to play big in a huge December game again
Brian Daboll and his players are trying to downplay the importance of Sunday night's game against the Washington Commanders. The game is important because it's the start of the fourth quarter of this season.
Barkley has had 16 100-yard rushing games during his NFL career. He has run for just 152 yards on 53 carries in his last four games. The last week he was nursing a sore neck and getting limited practice reps. This week, he feels better and had his best practice of the season on Wednesday. He played in plenty of big games at Penn State and almost always was the best player on the field in those games, so he has a chance to be great at a special time of year again. It's been nearly six years since the Fiesta Bowl game. Giants play the Commanders on Sunday night.
