Golden Knights’ Mark Stone returns vs. Canucks after being out with back injury

Mark Stone returned to action Tuesday after being out since Feb. 8 with a back injury. Vegas has 85 points and is three points behind the last wild-card spot. The Golden Knights are three behind Los Angeles Kings for the Pacific Division's last playoff spot with one game in hand.

William Carrier, Nolan Patrick and Laurent Brossoit were placed on the long-term injured reserve (LTIR) today. That opened up an additional $4.925 million in cap space. The club has $9.93 million left in usable cap room. Stone will be activated for tonight's game in Vancouver.

Mark Stone has been out with a back injury for the last 26 games. He returned to practice on Monday and was a full participant.

Mark Stone is expected to return for the Golden Knights' game against Canucks. He has been out with a back injury. The team's players expect him to improve their game in all three zones.

Granger predicts Stone will start on the third line with Chandler Stephenson and Max Pacioretty. Stone has played with Pac and Stephenson for most of the last two seasons. He will play with them on Vegas’ top power play unit with Jack Eichel, Evgenii Dadonov and Shea Theodore.
