Golden Knights on path to redemption after missing NHL playoffs
Golden Knights are on a winning streak and lead the NHL by two points. They are also leading the Western Conference and Pacific Division by eight points after going on an 11-day trip from Washington to Buffalo.
The Knights have won 15 of their first 15 games. Jack Eichel has 19 points, while the entire forward group is contributing. The team has the NHL’s best depth scoring with nine players at 10 points or more. Alex Pietrangelo is seventh among defensemen in scoring. The Knights can tie the longest winning streak in franchise history when they host the St. Louis Blues on Saturday. They are still a long way from the record of 17 straight wins set by the 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins. Owner Bill Foley stood by his “Cup in six” prediction.
