Coltrane finished third in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot. He was beaten 11 lengths over two miles at the Esher track. Hughes will not run him on such fast ground again. Coltrana is in a two-and-a-half-mile Goodwood Handicap on July 29. If it rains, Col Trane might go to York.
