Horse racing predictions: Chester and Market Rasen

The ITV Racing team will broadcast five races from the Roodee on Friday afternoon. The headline act is the Chester Cup at 3.15pm. ITV4 broadcast also takes in a race from a jumps card at Market Rasen.

Enda McElhinney has recommendations for six races on Friday.

Revich is a three-time Chester winner. Red Miracle is well drawn in stall two. Market Rasen is also well-drawn in the stall one.

Broken Quest has scored at Wincanton and Ludlow recently. Royal Preyer has been consistent over hurdles for Alan King since the autumn.

Brentford Hope is the class act in the field but must concede weight accordingly. Mujtaba didn't work out for Mu jest but he could easily get back on track now. Last month's Pontefract scorer Baryshnikov is our choice to make another bold bid on the Roodee.

2.40pm Chester – Irish Thoroughbred Marketing IRE-Incentive Scheme Huxley Stakes (Group 2). Magellan was second behind Master Of The Seas at Newmarket last month. SOLID STONE might have his measure for Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore.

Chester and Market Rasen are racing at 3.15pm. Chester is the Tote+ Chester Cup Handicap. Last year's winner Falcon Eight is 5lb higher now for Dermot Weld and Frankie Dettori. Hugo Palmer's SOLENT GATEWAY is carrying only 8st 6lb.

Chester and Market Rasen are going to meet at 3.45 pm. Flaming Rib, King's Lynn and Boodles Secret Garden Conditions Stakes are the races to watch.
