Horse racing predictions: Haydock, Ascot and Lingfield

There are eight races on ITV Racing's schedule on Saturday. ITV4 will broadcast the races from the Surrey course, Ascot and Haydock Park.

John Hill has recommendations for all eight races on Saturday. He has made his predictions for Haydock, Ascot and Lingfield.

Haydock – Pertemps Network Conditions Stakes (6f) at 1.50pm. GLEN SHIEL finished second here in the Sprint Cup in 2010.

Al Aasy skipped Chester this week and is the class act here if he fires. Third Realm, who finished fifth in the Derby last summer, is one danger and MANDOOB is another. Brian Meehan’s four-year-old has had wind surgery since his last run and remains unexposed.

2.40pm Lingfield – SBK Derby Trial Stakes (Listed, 1m 3½f). United Nations could take a forward role. Zechariah may have needed his run in the Group 3 Craven Stake at Newmarket. Walk Of Stars looks a major threat for Charlie Appleby.

Anna Bunina and West Cork were first and second in last month’s Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr. Luttell Lad was second at Chepstow in the Grade 2 Persian War Novices” HURTLE.

Lingfield is hosting the SBK Oaks Trial Fillies’ Stakes at 3.15 pm. The daughter of Dubawi has already won her maiden at Naas.

3.35 pm - Haydock - Pertemps Network Spring Trophy Stakes (Listed, 7f). ALDAARY is back after a lay-off.

She is fancied for Roger Varian and Jack Mitchell. Lingfield is hosting SBK Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes (Fillies' and Mares” Group 3, 7f).

4.05pm Ascot – Tote Victoria Cup (Heritage Handicap, 7f). James Fanshawe’s Fresh has an excellent Asfic record and should run his race again. ARATUS for Clive Cox and Adam Kirby was too keen in a three-runner Listed race at Leicester two weeks ago.
