Sharjah is bidding to win the Matheson Hurdle for the fifth year in a row. Vauban and Pied Piper are the opposition for Patrick Mullins. Paul Townend sticks with the Morgiana Huddle winner.

2.40pm Doncaster – bet365 Handicap Chase (3m). Oliver Greenall’s GESSKILLE has taken home silver medals from two trips to Aintree this season in the Grand Sefton (2m 5f) and the Becher Chase.

Leopardstown is hosting the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Novice Handicap Hurdle (2m 4f) at 2.55pm. Hardy Bloke and Green Glory are in action. Ted Walsh's Gahnt Charm is the favourite.

3.10pm Doncaster – bet365 Yorkshire Silver Vase Mares’ Chase (Listed, 2m 4½f). Nigel Twiston-Davies”s mare had a pleasing second on her comeback at Market Rasen over further in November and has since won as she pleased in Listed company at Carlisle. Nigel won the race 12 months ago.
