How to Watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are coming off their first NFC North title in five years, though they were unable to turn that into postseason success, falling to the New York Giants in the Wild Card Round. However, that does not mean they are going to repeat that success in 2023, as many believe luck will run out for Minnesota. While quarterback Kirk Cousins remains at the helm, the backfield took a huge hit when running back Dalvin Cook jetted off to New York. Thankfully, Cousins’ biggest receiving target, Justin Jefferson is still around, while the defense is being restructured under new defensive coordinator and former Miami Dolphins head coach, Brian Flores. That said, with the North being anyone’s division, it will be tough for the Vikings to go back to the playoffs.

Another team expected to take a step back is the Buccaneers. Despite winning the NFC South for a second-straight season (albeit with an 8-9 record), the second retirement of Tom Brady and questions regarding the future of other top offensive weapons, Tampa Bay has the same expectations they had before the pandemic. In steps Baker Mayfield, who has had a tough time finding consistency over the past couple of seasons, struggling in the final weeks of 2022 with the Los Angeles Rams. While the South has some definite holes, the Bucs are no longer the betting favorites to finish first.

Minnesota is 33-23, all-time, against Tampa Bay, though the Bucs have won seven of the last nine meetings.
