By now, you’re probably sick of hearing about Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins and a potential offseason move that would see him exit Arizona for another team. He’s been the subject of trade and release rumors for months and they died down a bit after the 2023 NFL draft, only to pick up again now.

During a recent interview with Brandon Marshall and Ashley Nicole Moss on the “I Am Athlete” podcast, Hopkins again stoked the flames regarding his future. He’s not currently present for the Cardinals’ organized team activities and is again hinting that his future might not be in Arizona. He says he wants his next team to have “stable management” and “a QB who loves the game.” He sure sounds like a player who has one foot out the door.

  • Arizona Cardinals: +200
  • Kansas City Chiefs: +300
  • Carolina Panthers: +550
  • Chicago Bears: +550
  • Detroit Lions: +750
  • New England Patriots: +1200
  • Buffalo Bills: +1500
  • The field: +2000

If Hopkins ends up on a new team, Thompson seems to expect that it’ll be Kansas City, followed closely by the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears. It’s worth noting that Hopkins indicated on the podcast appearance that the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots as two teams that actually reached out to Arizona about a trade.

The one thing that the Chiefs have that the other top teams here don’t? A quarterback that the receiver has indicated he wants to play with. On the aforementioned podcast, Hopkins was asked about quarterbacks he’d like to play with at some point in his career. His list was as follows:

  1. Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen
  2. Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts
  3. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes
  4. Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson
  5. San Diego. . . Chargers QB Justin Herbert

Someone might want to let him know that the Chargers are in Los Angeles now, just in case.
