There's a new way in Kansas City, Kansas, to place sports bets at the Hollywood Casino.The area’s only sportsbook within 120 miles revealed its $5 million renovation as it re-opens Wednesday. Vice President and General Manager of Hollywood Casino at the Kansas Speedway, Lydia Garvey, gave KMBC 9 a look at big changes"Had this great opportunity to circle back and really invest in this product as it should be," Garvey said. It's a safe bet that gamblers will love the new Sportsbook area."Seating for 148 people, including six VIP seats, 20-foot video display wall that can show up to 12 games at a time we have, another 23 television sets throughout the room," Garvey said. The Barstool Sportsbook that used to be here was all for online bets. But now, Garvey says folks can come into this sportsbook 24/7, and use any of the 17th kiosks to place a bet."We will have certain events that are high demand, for example, Super Bowl, where guests may need to make a reservation," Garvey said.
