Kings Ride Four-Game Winning Streak into Minnesota

The Los Angeles Kings have won four straight games and are now a point behind the leaders in the Western Conference. Los Angeles has also won seven out of its last nine games overall.

Meanwhile, Minnesota has been very inconsistent of late. The WIld had lost five of six but have now won back-to-back games. Can those who bet online trust them in this spot?

Kings: Offense Cooking

The Kings have won four in a row as their offense is on fire right now. They have scored at least four goals in five straight games, totaling 27 in that span. Anze Kopitar and Kevin Fiala are playing really well right as the two have combined for 15 points (in four games) this month.

In net, we’re likely to see Pheonix Copley after he got a two-game break. He punched a player with his blocker (in retaliation) and served a match penalty on Friday. He then got a rest on Saturday.

Copley is 17-3-1 with a 2.70 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage. When it comes to helping the Kings win games, Copley has been providing a far better opportunity than Jonathan Quick has been.

If you see Quick in net, though, be careful taking the Kings with your NHL picks.

Wild Turning it Around

The Minnesota Wild looked a lot better in their victory against the Nashville Predators than they had in their previous contests. The Wild had lost six of their previous eight games and didn’t have a single regulation win during that stretch of time.

There was no consistency to be found but that might be getting better. It certainly looks like they’ve been finding some production out of goalie Filip Gustavsson.

Gustavsson has started five out of the team’s last seven games and is boasting a record of 13-4-1 in his last 18 starts. Marc-Andre Fleury had been operating as the team’s top netminder before that.

Gustavsson has a .939 save percentage this month. It could be likely that we see him in the crease against Los Angeles.

Kings vs Wild Picks and Prediction

Los Angeles has been far hotter on the ice the last few days, yet Minnesota has received some strong goaltending from Gustavsson of late. Even so, the Kings look like the better option versus the NHL betting odds.

Minnesota has been really inconsistent of late and Los Angeles is a healthy 15-9-5 on the road. The Kings are also 4-1-1 in their last six away games. Look for them to build on those numbers on Tuesday and get the win in the sportsbook.

Los Angeles is listed at +110 in our Vegas NHL lines. So, if you wager $100 on the Kings, there’s a chance to win $110. Minnesota is -130, with a chance to win $77 on a $100 wager.

The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives the Wild a 56.52% chance to win, with the Kings at 47.62%.
