Las Vegas Raiders vs Kansas Chiefs Odds, Lines, Picks and Predictions for Monday Night Football Week 5

It’s only four weeks into the season but already the AFC West is shaking out in a very familiar way.

Tyreek Hill or not, the Chiefs are on top of the West at 3-1. On Monday night they’ve got a chance to move ahead a little more and bury the Raiders. Las Vegas sits at 1-3, disappointing those that came in to 2022 with high expectations.

The two square off for the first time in 2022 on a clear KC night, with kickoff set for 8:15 pm ET on Monday Night Football.

Raiders vs Chiefs Odds

The Chiefs are favored by a touchdown on Monday night, coming off of a 10-point win over the Buccaneers. Two of their three wins this season have been by 10 points or more. A Divisional win in Week 2 over the Chargers saw them scrape by with just a field goal.

Despite the fact they play there, Vegas isn’t seeing a ton of NFL Public Money coming in on the Raiders. Things are skewing heavily to the Chiefs’ side of things, and backing the over as well. Monday night looks like it should be fun.

Raiders vs Chiefs Injury Report

The only player declared out ahead of Monday night is Harrison Butker.

This will make it four in a row for the kicker after a Week 1 injury. Other than that, a pectoral injury for Guard Trey Smith may be the most concerning. For the most part it’s good news for the team with the second best Super Bowl Odds.

Week 5 Injury Report

The good news for the Raiders is who’s off the injury report rather than on it.

Denzel Perryman transitioned from a limited participant to full after suffering a concussion. Darren Waller was elevated to a full participant as well, while Hunter Renfrow will make his return to the Raiders lineup as well.

Renfrow missed two games after suffering a concussion in Week 2.

Recent History: Raiders vs Chiefs

These two will face off for the 123rd time, with the Chiefs holding the all-time lead at 68-53-2.

The results have been decidedly skewed the last few years. That’s not surprising considering how good Patrick Mahomes is, but his offenses have met little resistance against the Raiders.

Raiders vs Chiefs: Last 5 Games

Mahomes, Trevis Kelce and the rest of the Chiefs’ offense have hung at least 32 points on Vegas in each of their past five meetings.

Throughout the course of his career, Mahomes hasn’t had much of an issue with the Raiders. He’s 7-1 with an absurd 22-3 TD/INT ratio, averaging 318 yards per game. He carries a career rating of 112.4 against them too.

He’s also second in the NFL MVP Odds.

Derek Carr came up short in both games against KC last year, throwing for less than 275 yards in both games. He also tossed three touchdowns to two interceptions, finishing with sub-100 ratings in both games.

Raiders vs Chiefs Pick

All said, it’s a safe assumption that we’re going to see points put up on Monday night.

The Raiders can move the ball through the air and on the ground. They’ve also given up at least 23 points in all four of their games.

We know what the Chiefs’ offense can do, and their defense hasn’t exactly been suffocating opponents either. They’ve given up at least 21 points in three of their four games.

There’s no reason to expect that to change in prime time.

The Pick: Over 51.5 (-108); 1 unit
