Latest Mares’ Hurdle Odds – Honeysuckle Heads Betting Market

The Cheltenham odds for the fifth race of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival indicate that Honeysuckle will go off as the betting favourite to win the Mares’ Hurdle and bow out in style.

The impressive mare currently head the market at odds of around 11/4 with the best horse racing betting sites. Honeysuckle won on her first 17 starts as a racehorse, with a third and second place finish in her las two runs.

The Irish 9-year-old has won at the Cheltenham Festival on three occasions – the Champions Hurdle in 2021 & 2022 and this race back in 2020. She evidently has Cheltenham pedigree and is understandably the bookies favourite here in the Mares’ Hurdle.

Horse racing fans are excited to again see Honeysuckle back in action at Cheltenham as one of the standout horses as the biggest racing Festival of the year returns.

She certainly look like the strongest horse in the race and will be incredibly tough to stop here in the Mares’ Hurdle.

Trainer Henry De Bromhead has real faith in his 9-year-old and believes Honeysuckle can bow out and end racing career on a high with a fourth win at the Cheltenham Festival.

On paper, this looks like a tight race with a few credible horses running. However, if Honeysuckle can conjure up one last big run, she will be difficult to stop. She is priced at odds of around 11/4 with the best Cheltenham betting sites.

Honeysuckle’s biggest challengers looks to be coming from the Nicky Henderson stable in the form of Epatante and Marie’s Rock. Marie’s Rock has won her last four straight races, as well as winning at Cheltenham last year. Epatante is also a huge threat and could spring an upset here is she is on her best form.

Willie Mullins also has a couple of hopefuls for this race in the form of Brandy Love and Echoes In Rain. However, if Honeysuckle is anywhere near on top form here, she will be hard to stop in the fifth race on Day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival.

Legendary trainers Nicky Henderson and Willie Mullins will be hopeful of winning this race, alongside De Bromhead’s Honeysuckle. If you want to know a bit more about both trainers, you can check out Willie Mullins vs Nicky Henderson head-to-head racing stats and net worth
