Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Francisco Giants Prediction 9-23-23 MLB Picks

The San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers meet in game three of their four-game series in MLB action from Dodger Stadium on Saturday night.

Giants Get Revenge On Friday

The San Francisco Giants managed to get some measure of revenge over the Dodgers after a 5-1 win in Friday’s matchup. The win pushed the Giants to 77-77 on the year, sitting 3 games back in the NL Wild Card race. Wilmer Flores leads the Giants with 22 home runs this season while J.D. Davis has 18 home runs and Michael Conforto has 15 dingers with Davis posting 117 hits and a team-high 69 RBIs as well. Conforto has 56 RBIs and LaMonte Wade Jr. has a .262 batting average and a .375 OBP this season. Thairo Estrada leads the Giants with 128 hits and a .276 batting average this season. The Giants did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted.

Dodgers Fall Flat On Friday

The Los Angeles Dodgers fell on their faces in Friday’s loss, falling to 94-59 on the year, 4.5 games behind the Braves for the best record in the American League. Mookie Betts leads the Dodgers with 39 home runs in addition to 103 RBIs while Max Muncy is right alongside with 36 homers of his own and 102 RBIs. J.D. Martinez has 30 home runs to go along with 95 RBIs while Freddie Freeman has a team-high 201 hits, 95 RBIs, a .334 batting average and a .411 OBP in addition to 26 homers and 56 doubles this season. Clayton Kershaw will get the start for the Dodgers here and is 12-4 with a 2.52 ERA and 170 strikeouts this season.

Chris’ Pick

I’m looking at the Dodgers here. I’ve simply learned not to fade Clayton Kershaw at home this season and the Giants while still mathematically in the race, just don’t feel like a team that’s realistically going to crack the playoff field in my opinion. The Dodgers are still trying to chase down the Braves at the top of the NL and until they’re mathematically unable to, I think the Dodgers will keep pushing on, especially at the expense of a division rival. Give me the Dodgers.
