MLB experts make 2020 World Series predictions

The 2020 World Series between the Dodgers and Rays starts on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The Dodgers were the No. 1 playoff seed in the National League and the Rays were No 1 in American League.

The Dodgers are the overwhelming favorite to win the World Series. MLB.com polled more than 70 experts for their predictions. Los Angeles won their third NL pennant in the past four years. Tampa Bay won the AL East and came from behind to beat the Astros in ALCS. The Rays are a good team, but their offense is a weakness. The Dodgers have the firepower to overcome their opponents. They haven't won a World Championship since 1988. It's time for Los Angles to do that. For Tampa, it's a matter of winning every small matchup along the way. There are too many great players for the Rays to be the favorite.

Mookie Betts received 40 of the 71 votes for World Series MVP (56%) from MLB experts. Cody Bellinger received only six votes. The Dodgers have a better player than the Rays.

Most MLB experts think Betting and the Dodgers will be too much for Arosareana and Rays to overcome.
