Nashville has found themselves during this win streak, outscoring the opposition 37-13 and tallying at least four goals in each of the eight games. The Predators now face a Montreal squad that is in the bottom quarter of the league when it comes to giving up goals per game this season. Nashville is clicking on all cylinders right now and facing a struggling team in the Canadiens definitely works in their favor. The Canadiens may be moving some pieces ahead of the trade deadline but the fact remains that the team simply isn’t that good right now. Nashville rides their momentum here and that carries them to a ninth straight victory.

Prediction: Nashville Predators -1.5 (+120)

Montreal has seen the over post a 32-27-1 mark this season in their 60 games entering this one. The Canadiens have seen an average total of 6.26 goals per game on the season. That number edges up to 6.40 goals per game on the road this season as Montreal has surrendered 3.53 goals per game away from the Bell Centre. Nashville comes into this game having seen the under post a 30-25-7 mark in their 62 games this season. The Predators have seen an average total of 6.24 goals per game this season though that number slips slightly to 6.22 goals per game on home ice. Nashville puts up their goals but Montreal can’t do enough to push this to the number. Lean toward the under in this contest.

Prediction: Under 6.5
