Navy linebacker John Marshall is the only unanimous All-American Athletic Conference selection

John Marshall was the only unanimous All-American Athletic Conference selection. Ivan Pace was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Willie Fritz was chosen Coach of The Year after leading Tulane to the regular season championship. Tulan will play Central Florida in the championship game. John Marshall is disappointed that only one teammate received any recognition. He was one of four Navy outside linebacker to be named All American Athletic. Marshall led the team in tackles for loss (88) and sacks (10). He needs 1 ½ tackles per game to move into second place behind Chet Moeller.

John Marshall is the only unanimous All-American Athletic Conference selection. Jacob Busic is an honorable mention. Cincinnati's Luke Pace is named the Defensive Player of the Year. Tulane's Aaron Spears is Offensive Player Of The Year after rushing for 1,177 yards and 14 touchdowns. The inside linebacker is a finalist for the Butkus Award and Bednarik Award.
