New Crystal Ball Pick for Notre Dame; Flip Watch for the Fighting Irish

The 247Sports Crystal Ball is a tool recruiting analysts use to show exactly where a recruit might end up. On Thursday, a new prediction went in regarding a new name potentially landing with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Back on July 13, I wrote about a few more receiver targets to know for Notre Dame in the class of 2024, as the Fighting Irish look to replace one-time commit Isiah Canion. Notre Dame still has two commits in four-star receivers Cam Williams and Micah Gilbert, but the Irish want to add another to the class.

“The receiver I like most from the group if Salinas (Calif.) Palma three-star receiver Logan Saldate. The 5-11, 185-pounder is currently committed to Oregon State and picked the Beavers back on May 29. His offer list includes Arizona, Cal, Oklahoma State, Washington and others. Like the others, Notre Dame will see him during the evaluation period.”

That is what I wrote at the time and on Thursday, I went ahead and predicted Notre Dame to land the Oregon State and flip him from the Beavers.

Per 247Sports, Saldate is right on the cusp of a fourth star. He is a three-star prospect with an 89 overall rating. He’s the No. 59 receiver in America. As a junior at Palma High, Saldate caught 54 passes for 713 yards and nine touchdowns.
