Newcastle optimistic conditions will be right for withdrawn stars on Saturday

Constitution Hill won last season's Supreme Novices' Hurdle and is the ante-post favourite for the Champion HURDLE. L’Hommes Presche also entered the Rehearsal Handicap Chase. Epatante is a narrow 8-11 favourite with sponsors Betfair for Fighting Fifth Hursle. Pied Piper, Tommy's Oscar and Voix Du Reve complete the six contenders.

Sandown Park has cancelled the Contenders Hurdle. It was a stepping stone to the Cheltenham Festival for Henderson. The trainer has used it successfully with Binocular and Buveur D'Air. Sandown's head of racing and clerk of the course Andrew Cooper said it was deemed a surplus opportunity.
