NFL week seven betting tips: Lions, Bills, Dolphins odds

At the other end of the league, the Carolina Panthers extended their losing streak to six games, while the New England Patriots fell to 1-5 after their loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

There are a number of teams making pressing cases for play-off berths and we’ll look at a selection of these sides as they aim to improve their standing.

After looking at the best odds from UK bookmakers, here are our predictions for NFL week seven.

Detroit Lions to cover against Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens (4-2) bounced back from a poor defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers with a good performance to overcome the Tennessee Titans in London.

After Baltimore took an 18-3 lead into half-time, Tenneseee threatened a second-half comeback. But, the reliable boot of Justin Tucker ensured that John Harbaugh’s men secured their fourth win of the season.

They will face a challenge against the Lions (5-1), who are continuing to excel under Dan Campbell.

Detroit were hyped in pre-season following their strong end to the last campaign, and they’ve brought the same energy led by quarterback Jared Goff.

Their defence was stout against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, allowing them to work their way to their fifth win.

It will likely be a close contest as the Lions will aim to not allow Lamar Jackson and his offence to have their own way, while the Ravens could be equally stout against Goff and company.

We’re backing the Lions on the +3 handicap at 10/11 with William Hill

Buffalo Bills to inflict more Patriot misery

The Bills (4-2) are still not firing on all cylinders this season. Buffalo had to battle past a poor New York Giants team to secure their fourth win to keep pace with the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East.

Quarterback Josh Allen and company struggled for rhythm, not for the first time in the campaign.

But, Sean McDermott’s men showed resolve to get over the line and recover from their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Allen is suffering from a shoulder problem, although he will likely be ready for Sunday.

New England (1-5) are in a world of trouble following their defeat to the Raiders.

It was an all-too familiar tale for Bill Belichick’s men this season as Mac Jones struggled, while the defence failed to hold up against an average Las Vegas offence.

The wheels are almost off the Patriots’ season, and the Hall of Fame coach’s position could be in jeopardy.

Since Tom Brady left New England after the 2019 season, the Bills have feasted on the Patriots, winning six of their seven games including the post-season.

In all but one of their victories, Buffalo have beaten New England by double digits. So, we’re backing them to leave Foxborough with a victory margin between 13 and 18 points at odds of 15/4 with bet365

Points galore in Eagles and Dolphins clash

Two of the best teams in the NFL will face off when the Eagles (5-1) and the Dolphins (5-1) meet at Lincoln Financial Field.

Miami have been one of the most improved sides in the league this season and their offence is operating at a record-breaking pace. Mike McDaniel’s men are averaging 37.2 points and almost 500 yards of offence per game.

No team has been able to stop them this term, and they racked up another victory by coming from behind to beat the Carolina Panthers. Tua Tagovailoa is playing at an MVP standard, while wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been unstoppable down the field.

Jaylen Waddle and Raheem Mostert have also been effective, allowing the Dolphins to dominate their opponents. They’ll be targeting the Eagles next, although it will be a tougher proposition.

The Eagles suffered their first loss of the season against the New York Jets, whose defence managed to stifle Jalen Hurts and company.

Philadelphia’s offence has sputtered at times this season. It has not been the free-scoring unit from the last campaign that came narrowly close to a Super Bowl win.

Hurts needs to find his rhythm with Devonta Smith and AJ Brown again. There will be opportunities against the Dolphins who have given up an average of 26 points per game.

We could see a high-scoring game between two quality offences, and so we’re going to take an alternate points total on BetMGM of 58 at odds of 15/8.
