NHL odds: Kraken-Oilers prediction, odds, pick, and more

The Seattle Kraken and the Edmonton Oilers have 42 points each heading into their rematch this Tuesday night at Rogers Place in Alberta. The game starts at 9:00 PM ET.

Seattle defeated the New York Islanders 4-1 last Sunday. The Kraken have won 11 of their last 15 games after a victory. Seattle is No. 1 in the NHL in 5-on-5 shooting percentage and tied with the NYJ Devils for most 5/5 goals (87). Seattle lost 7-2 to the same team last Friday. The team is going on a seven-game road trip starting on Tuesday. They are going to play the Kraken in a game that they usually go with goalie Martin Jones.

The Oilers have won four of their last five games after two days off. They lost to Winnipeg Jets last Saturday, but they have two full days of rest. Seattle has one of the worst penalty-killing units in the NHL. The Oilers are the only team with a better than 29% success rate on the power play. Connor McDavid was held to no points in that game. He had a goal and four assists against Seattle last time.  The Kraken has allowed seven power-play goals on 17 chances in its last six games.

Kraken are not going to be blown out again by the Oilers. The Kraken will continue to get a lot of shots but their shaky defense will be vulnerable against Edmonton. This has the making of a high-scoring game, so I'm taking the Over.
