NHL Vibe Check: Reacting to B/R App Users' Season Predictions

Y’all came out with bold predictions heading into the 2022-23 season.

Buffalo Sabres are in the midst of the longest playoff drought in NHL history. Shawn reckons the Sabres will make the playoffs this year. Shawndaugherty thinks the team is going to have a breakout year with the young players.   The fringe teams of Eastern Conference are more compelling than the Western Conference. The Los Angeles Kings have Pete Davidson showing up to a game two hours late. Buffalo Sabres have your grandfather jumping headfirst onto a table and lighting something on fire at 7 in a morning.

GMKISOK predicts that the Toronto Maple Leafs will advance to the second round of the playoffs. He believes that Matt Murray will have a great year with a good team. He stopped 65 out of 67 shots in the preseason. GMKisok will be singing on the streets if the team advances to Round 2.

Kirill Kaprizov finished seventh in the Hart voting last year. He had 47 goals and 61 assists for 108 points in 81 games in 2021-22. He also had seven goals, eight points and a goal in six playoff games.

Robdog22 thinks it's better if Shane Wright, Matty Beniers and Philipp Grubauer have a good season and the Seattle Kraken don't make the playoffs. Robdog doesn't know Wright personally, but he knows what it feels like to operate out of spite.

BBrown09301985 predicts that Moritz Seider will be a finalist for the Norris. Pavel Barber believes Seidler is good at avoiding hits. The Red Wings have improved this season. The game between Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin on the Bleacher Report app was a highlight-reel.

It's been 17 years since the Penguins haven't been in the playoffs. Sidney Crosby, Evgeny Malkin and Kris Letang are the longest-standing trio in NHL history. It's just as likely that they'll make the playoff this year as it is that the Pens will miss.
