Penn State vs. Michigan predictions are in; keys for a Lions upset, and more

Today’s Penn State football news headlines feature more picks and predictions for the clash with No. 3 Michigan and keys for the Lions to spring the upset.

The PennLive staff and special guests featured two dissenting opinions on Saturday’s Penn State-Michigan game, but the majority liked the Wolverines to win a tight game. The same was true with the USA Today staff with two Penn State picks and four in favor of the Wolverines. Other Penn State-Michigan picks have been filed from: Mark Wogenrich from All Penn State, the staff at MLive, and the staff at The Daily Collegian.

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg did a quick profile of Penn State’s big Saturday matchup with No. 3 Michigan, giving three keys that could decide the outcome of the game. The Wolverines’ distractions through coverage of the program’s sign-stealing controversy is a big one, but so is Penn State’s run defense and the play of Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy. The Lions have their hands full on both sides of the ball and enter as 4.5-point underdogs at home.
