Phillies add hard-throwing righty reliever in trade with Giants
The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired Yunior Marté from the San Francisco Giants in a deal that sent Erik Miller back to the Giants. Marte posted a 5.44 ERA and 4.38 FIP in 39 games for the Gens in 2022. He also had a 3.16 ERA in 25 games at Triple-A Sacramento. The Phillies are interested in developing their relievers into big league pitchers. They have a surplus of left-handed relieving pitchers in their organization.
