Barra is a progressive hurdler who finished second in the Paddy Mullins mares’ handicap hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown last year. Gordon Elliott's mare jumped well on her chasing bow at Kilbeggan last July. She didn't see the racing until she ran in a Grade 3 maret's chase at Fairyhouse on the last day of their Irish Grand National meeting.

Barra is a progressive hurdler who finished third in the Coral Cup last year. She is going to race off a handicap rating of 137 today. Rob James takes off 7lb. City Island is the favourite for the Alanna Homes Champion Novice Hurdle. He won the Ballymore Novices’ HURTle at the Cheltenham Festival last time. He had to be strong on the run down the hill to manoeuvre racing room for himself and he had it between him and Champ. Bright Forecast and Brewin‘upastorm are the other horses in this race.
