Punter turns £5 into £36,000 with stunning Carabao Cup bet as Bournemouth and West Brom claim victories

The lucky individual needed four goals in the final 10 minutes of Tuesday night's fixtures

Lynden Gooch's goal did more than just put Sunderland through

One lucky punter turned £5 into a staggering £36,303.23 after winning a six-fold 'Both Teams to Score and Win' Ladbrokes bet from six fixtures on Tuesday night.

The customer selected Aston Villa, Bournemouth, , West Brom, Sunderland and Burton Albion all to win, with each team conceding in their victories.

Heading into the final 10 minutes of the second round fixtures, the punter still needed four goals to win the bet.

But an Ipswich consolation goal against Palace, a shock 88th minute notch for Accrington Stanley against the Baggies and a Lynden Gooch winner for Sunderland against Carlisle all helped to land the bet.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "We're still in August but this has to go down as an early contender for bet of the season.

"Was it luck? Was it skill? Either way our Brummie punter won't mind and we're delighted for him!"

Aston Villa's win over Wigan helped the punter

The bet in full:

BTTS and win (Selections in bold)

Aston Villa 4-1 Wigan - 13/5
Birmingham City 1-2 Bournemouth - 29/10
Crystal Palace 2-1 Ipswich - 9/4
Accrington Stanley 1-3 West Brom - 13/5
Carlisle 1-2 Sunderland - 12/5
Cardiff 1-2 Burton - 12/1

£5 accumulator returns £36,303.23

The six remaining Carabao Cup fixtures take place on Wednesday night. The third round draw will take place in Beijing on Thursday, meaning it will happen at 4.15am UK time.
