Qipco British Champions Day

Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot is taking place on Saturday afternoon. There will be six races between six furlongs and two miles.

Trueshan is the classiest horse in the race. He has won the Long Distance Cup in each of the last two seasons. Eldar Eldarov and Quickthorn merit consideration. Waterville impressed at the Curragh last time out. Eldr Eldovarov is better on quicker ground. Quick thorn is yet to prove himself over a longer trip.

14:00 Sprint Stakes is a far more competitive affair than the first race on the card. Creative Force is expected to lay down a strong challenge. ROHAAN catches the eye at 5/1 with Ascot odds.

Qipco British Champions Day starts at 14:40. The females are competing in the Fillies & Mares Stakes. Eternal Pearl has four wins on the spin and is a danger to all.

Ingrid is a direct descendant of the greatest flat horse of all time Frankel. She won in France last time out. Her yard has an excellent record in this race.

16:00 Champion Stakes is the biggest race on the card. Baaeed has ten wins from ten runs. Bay Bridge has won five of his seven races over this distance. He finished second at Ascot in June.

The Balmoral Handicap is the final race on the card. There are 20 runners going to post. ORBAAN is well worth an each-way bet. PEROTTO is without a win in over a year. He is only a single pound higher in the weights than when he last won. His last win was at Ascot over one mile.
