Seattle Mariners 2022 MiLB affiliate preview: Triple-A Tacoma

This year's overlook of every Mariners MiLB affiliate for the upcoming season starts with Tacoma Rainiers. Opening Day for Triple-A is Tuesday, April 5. All other leagues open this Friday, Friday April 8. There's no roster yet, so the team will be making its best guesses based on current rosters and general patterns. 2021 season was successful for Seattle's Triple-A affiliate Tacoma Rainiers. They won the first-ever Triple A West championship.

The Tacoma Rainiers begin play on Tuesday, April 5th and close out the season on September 28th at Reno. The All-Star Break will be between July 18th-21st. Off days are on Mondays. There are special events planned for the Rainier fans.

Seattle Mariners 2022 MiLB affiliate preview is Triple-A Tacoma. The new-look Tacoma staff is headed by manager Tim Federowicz and features a new pitching coach Alon Leichman and a hitting coach Brad Marcelino.

The Tacoma Rainiers' roster is currently available. The players in bold are confirmed members of the Rainier's Opening Day Roster, while the names in italics are anticipated members.

Zach Green, Sam Haggerty, Kevin Padlo, Donovan Walton, Mike Ford, Erick Mejia, Riley Unroe are the players who made their MLB debuts in 2019. They are all infielders. Sam is the best. He played for the Phillies, Giants, Brewers, and Royals. Errick Mejaia played with the Royals and the Dodgers. Riley unroe played in the Atlanta farm system. Mike Pad loed off waivers from Tampa Bay.

Taylor Trammell, Forrest Wall, Marcus Wilson, Billy Hamilton, Tanner Kirwer, Steven Souza Jr. and Steven Wilson are the players with the most question marks in Seattle's organization. Trammell is a former top prospect and breakout candidate. Wilson and Wall are post-hype prospects from the Blue Jays and Red Sox. Souzas and Hamilton have MLB experience and will likely be called up if the Seattle team needs a break. Hamilton didn't make the team.

Josh Morgan, Joe Odom, Brian O'Keefe and Cal Raleigh are the players who could be called up to the Seattle Mariners in 2022. The team's affiliate in Tacoma is called Triple-A Tacoma. The players are all prospects.

Darren McCaughan, Ian McKinney, Matt Koch, Nick Margevicius, Penn Murfee, Asher Wojciechowski are the players who will start the Tacoma Rainiers' Opening Day.

Matt Festa, Kyle Bird, Sal Romano, Danny Young, Patrick Weigel, Matt Fella, Braden Shipley, Austin Warner, Roenis Elías, Joey Gerber, Evan White are injured. Seth Mejias-Brean, Terry McClure, Andrew Albers, Tommy Milone are on Tacoma's roster. The list includes some players who haven't played since August of 2021. They are working out at the player development department. The players on the list are all pitchers. It is possible that they will get promoted to Seattle. There are also some pitchers who are in the organization that have been released.
